Sino-Linchem's Tour in East Malaysia

From : Sino-Linchem Group       Date : 2012-07-25   Hits :

June is a nice time for a tour. The headquarter Sino-Linchem organized a tour on 19th June to Kota Kinabalu in East Malaysia, as a welfare for our staff members.

After traveling by bus via Shenzhen, the jet from Hong Kong carried us to the vacationland we had been long for. Kota Kinabalu (aka K.K.), the capital of Sabah state, once called ‘Api-api’ or ‘Jesselton’, is a city developed on reclaimed land. It is one of the fastest progressing modern metropolises in Asia, with broadened streets, densely constructed areas, and holding approximately 200k population consisted of many foreigners settling down besides local Malays. Despite these permanent residents, there are also a large number of tourists from all over the world attracted by its beauty.

The route for the first day went through Sabi Island and Manukan Island. The seawater there was incredibly clear, thus the marine creatures with the background seabed were totally visible from the beach. What a tremendous scene! The tour guide introduced us several recreational activities and we all enjoyed them. Footprints left and memories taken, we immersed ourselves in the fascination of the islands.

In the morning of the second day, we held a competition in order to improve the interaction, communication and co-operation among our staff members. We drew to team up, elected captains, confirmed our slogans, and then the competition started. After some intensive contests, Team Yellow won out, sequentially followed by Team Blue, Team Red, and Team Green.

We went to Lok Kawi Wildlife Park in the afternoon. Cruising in a boat, we were seeking for various kinds of monkeys while catching fish. We saw Macaques, Beckham Monkey. However we never had a direct sight on Proboscis Monkeys. Regardless of  the pity of that, we all had great fun.

On the third day, we came to the local artifact market. After that we viewed the divine Mount Kinabalu from distance. It is the peak of Malaysia, 13435 feet tall, awed by the locals and tourists year by year. Because of something unexpected, we called off the plan on approaching the mountain. After the delightful lunch in farmhouse, we were back on our feet and passed through a rope bridge 2296.6 feet above the ground, scaring but amazing! Overlooking the jungle and rocks below, we had our feet cold. We all knew a relaxing hot spring awaiting us, so we could not wait to go downhill.

Time flew. We departed from K.K., and arrived in the prosperous Hong Kong. Many of us have not yet been there, so the company decided to bypass Hong Kong to let us experience both its modern and traditional atmosphere. And indeed, its luxury was just beyond our imagination, while the traditional custom made us think a lot.

This trip was planned by the company leaders. There was no any external attendant so we all felt unrestrained and delighted. This great relaxation recharged us for the upcoming tasks, and we grew a better interaction to cope with any difficulty we would encounter later at work.
